Morris Freedman papers

1960-1971

Morris Freedman came to the University of Maryland as a professor of English in 1966. He retired in 1991 but remains active in the university teaching community as a lecturer. His published works include American Drama in Social Context, Chaos in our Colleges, and The Moral Impulse: Modern Drama from Ibsen to the Present. The collection consists of typescripts, page proofs, and galleys of those works. An addition to the collection, consisting of working papers, correspondence, and publications, is unprocessed, but a preliminary inventory has been prepared.
